At DC MotorWerks, our manual swaps are built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Our goal is simple: create the manual-transmission Mercedes that could have come from the factory.

Almost every component we use carries a Mercedes-Benz part number, allowing us to achieve true factory-level fit and finish. Through extensive factory coding and integration, we’re able to retain the vehicle’s original systems and functionality with no warning lights—including features such as KEYLESS-GO, cruise control, ESP, and other factory conveniences.

But the conversion goes beyond simply adding a clutch pedal and manual gearbox. We can also tailor throttle mapping and other key driving characteristics to suit the individual car and driver. The result is a conversion that looks factory, functions like factory, and can be customized to deliver exactly the driving experience you’re looking for.

  • We can manual swap a wide variety of Mercedes-Benz and AMG models, from classic chassis to modern performance cars. Every vehicle is different, so compatibility depends on the chassis, drivetrain, and specific application. Have something in mind? Reach out to us and we'll see what's possible.

  • We specialize a unique combination of clutch, flywheel and transmission specific to each car and how it is setup. We have had several cars that are tuned, or modified that make well over 600HP that handle the power just fine. We also fine tune things like throttle mapping to adjust to your driving preference.

  • We use a Mercedes Benz 6-speed, double overdrive, high-torque transmission. Direct bolt up to most Mercedes V engines and capable of handling 800+ HP

  • Our manual transmission conversions range from $15,000-$19,000 for most 1990-2015 vehicles. Less common conversions/ conversions requiring a great deal of fabrication can reach into the $25,000-$30,000 range.

  • From start to finish our swaps average 3-4 weeks. We take care of everything in house. No need for finding parts or a donor car, we take care of the whole process.

  • Absolutely. We regularly work with enthusiast vehicles and customers outside the immediate Atlanta area. We've even documented a C63 AMG that traveled from Canada to Georgia specifically for its manual conversion.

  • Because sometimes Mercedes built the right car with the wrong number of pedals. A manual conversion transforms the relationship between the driver and the car, adding control, involvement and character that the original automatic simply can't replicate.
